Drug Free Marshals Taste Asia Again
Toronto, 25 June 2006: The Drug-Free Marshals again brought their drug-free message to a Taste of Asia, the annual multicultural festival hosted by the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham, the Association of Progressive Muslims of Ontario and in cooperation with the Town of Markham. Held at the intersection of Steeles Avenue and Kennedy Road, it is a two-day Street Festival of non-stop musical and cultural performances from different ethnic groups and highlights the cultural flavours of food, colour, customs, arts, music, dance and fashion that are unique to different Asian ethnic backgrounds. Thousands of Torontonians flock to it annually.The Drug-Free Marshals on their continuing campaign to reach children and youth of all nationalities and cultures with the DFM pledge to lead a drug-free life, have attended for the past four years and reached hundreds and hundreds of individuals with drug awareness booklets and message.
